International Student Volunteers

International Students Volunteers (ISV) is a nonprofit organization based in Yorba Linda, Ca., and is looking for student leaders who wish to earn a free trip overseas for themselves this coming summer.  This year we will be sending over 4,000 students from all around the world on our programs and will be operating summer programs from May through September in South Africa, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Ecuador, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand.  Our programs incorporate two weeks of volunteer work in community development, animal and/or environmental conservation, coupled with an additional two weeks of activity-packed adventure travel.  We focus all of our projects on the goal of being sustainable and entirely beneficial to the local communities, always operating with local priorities in mind.  Our projects range from working with animals such as elephants and sea turtles in Thailand and Central America, to building community infrastructure and operating educational programs for children in developing communities all over the world.  Our adventure tour that follows the volunteer work includes activities such as: white water rafting, caving, canyoning, waterfall rappelling, surfing, snorkeling, glacier climbing, horseback riding and ocean kayaking, among others.  Additionally, academic credit is available on our program, if a participant chooses to pursue it.

The opportunity for free travel is being extended to the individual who will lead a group of ten of their peers on one of our programs this summer.  If this opportunity is something that you would like to learn more about, please contact Alex Berg to schedule a time to meet and discuss this opportunity in more detail.  Thanks!
